Calculated Formula of Cold Drawn Steel and Round Bar Weight
*** Weight = outside circle 2 mm. x 0.006167 x Length M. ***

 

Diameter= 100mm Length 6 m.

Example

Weight=100x100x0.006167x6= 370.02 kg

Calculated Formula of Plate Weight

*** Size 4' x 8' ***
Weight (kg.) = Thickness (mm.) x 23.36
*** Size 5' x 10' ***
Weight (kg.) = Thickness (mm.) x 36.50

Example
Plates size 2.0 mm. x 5' x 10' Weight = 2 x 36.50 = 73.00 kg.
Plates size12.0 mm. x 5' x 10' Weight = 12.0 x 36.50 = 438.00 kg.

Weight (kg.) = Thickness (mm.) x 73.00

Example
Plates size 4.5 mm. x 5' x 20' Weight = 4.5 x 73.00 = 328.50 kg

Note: Calculate from: Width (ft) x Length (ft) x 0.73 (Specific Gravity)
For example: 4' x 8 x 0.73 = 23.36

Weight= 15 x 43 x 30 ÷ 2 x 0.000785 = 7.6 kg

***Calculated Formula of Circle Steel Plate Weight***

Weight = Thickness (mm.) x Radius (cm.) x Radius (cm.) X 0.00247

 

Thickness = 12 mm

Example

Weight = 12 x 15 x 15 x 0.00247 = 6.67 kg.



***Calculated Formula of Steel Ring Plate Weight***

Weight = (R2 - r2) x Thickness (mm.) x 0.00247

Thickness = 22 cm

r = 20 cm R = 50 cm

Weight = (252 - 102) x 22 x 0.00247

= 525 X 22 X 0.00247

= 28.53 kg.

Note: Diameter must be transform firstly to radius (cm.)

Weight = Width (mm.) x Thickness (mm.) x 0.0471

Example

 

Thickness = 10 cm

Width = 100 cm

Weight = 100x1010.0471=47.1kg

 

***Calculated Formula of Cold Formed Angle Weight***

Weight = (A + B -2 x 1 Thickness [mm.]) x Thickness [mm.] 0.0471

A = 50 cm

 

Example

Thickness = 6 mm

B = 75 cm

Weight = (50 + 75- 2 x 6) x 6 x 0.0471

= (125 - 12) x 6 x 0.0471

= 113 x 6 x 0.0471

= 31.93 kg.

 

***Calculate Formula of Cold Formed Channel Weight***

Weight = (A + 2 B - 4 x Thickness mm.) x Thickness mm. x 0.0471

Example

B =90 mm

A =100 mm

Weight = (100 + 2 x 90 - 4 x 8) x 8 x 0.0471

= (100 +180 - 32) x 8 x 0.0471

= 248 x 8 x 0.0471

= 12.058 kg.

 


 

*** Calculated Formula of Carbon Steel Tube Weight***

Weight = (Outside circle2 mm. – Inner circle 2 mm.) x 0.006167 x Length x m.

Example

Inner circle =130mm

Outside circle = 150 mm

Weight = (1502 -1302) x 0.0006167 x 6.0 = 207.21 kg.

Weight (A + 2 B + 2 C) - (8 x Thickness mm.) x Thickness mm. x 0.0471
